✂️ Video Trimmer
Cut a clip from a video right in your browser — your file never leaves your device

MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV, AVI, M4V — up to 500 MB
100% private: your file never leaves your device — trimming runs entirely in your browser. Only the processing engine downloads once (~31MB) and is then cached. The engine is single-threaded, so accurate (re-encode) trims can take about as long as the clip's duration. One job runs at a time.
Cut the start and end off a video directly in your browser — the file is trimmed on your device and never uploaded. Fast mode copies the video stream without re-encoding, so it finishes in seconds at the original quality; Accurate mode re-encodes for frame-exact cuts when precision matters more than speed.
Frequently asked questions
How do I trim a video without re-encoding or losing quality?
Use Fast mode. It copies the existing video data instead of re-encoding it, so the trim finishes almost instantly and the quality is identical to the original — no generation loss at all.
Why does my cut not start exactly where I set it?
Fast mode can only cut at keyframes — special frames the video can start playing from — so the actual start may shift by up to a couple of seconds depending on how the video was encoded. If you need the cut to land exactly on your chosen time, switch to Accurate mode, which re-encodes the video for frame-exact results at the cost of longer processing.
Which video formats can I trim?
MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV files all work. The trimming happens locally via ffmpeg running in your browser, so nothing is uploaded regardless of format.
